Harry P. Hopkins, Jr. Fellowship in Physical Chemistry

Purpose

The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarship support to graduate and PhD students who pursue a degree in any area of physical chemistry within the Chemistry Deparhnent of the College of Arts & Sciences, and demonstrate a passion and commitnent to the field. In the absence of strong graduate candidates, undergraduates majoring in chemistry may also be considered.

Scholarship Criteria

Award eligibility will be based on the following criteria:

• Current overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Declared concentration in any area of physical chemistty
• Demonstrated course work and/ or research focus in physical chemistry
• Candidate statement of academic/research goals and interests
• Letter of recommendation addressing overall ability/ potential in physical chemistry and/ or physical chemistry research
