Duane M. Rumbaugh Fellowship
Purpose
To provide fellowships to graduate students or first-year post-doctoral appointees. The research focus of this fellowship is on the study of emergent.
Scholarship Criteria
The following criteria will also be taken into consideration when awarding the fellowship:
- Must be either accepted into the graduate program, a graduate student in good standing or hold a post-doctoral appointment in the DEPARTMENT
- Must have a 3.5 GPA
- Through the submission of two letters of recommendation, the applicant must show the potential to become a leader in innovative research methods and theory regarding the main springs of the magnificent behavior and skills that even animals can manifest given the right treatment and experience.
- Research focus must be on primates.
- At least a portion of the research leading to the thesis, dissertation or other published work must take place at one or more of the following locations: The Language Research Center, ZooAtlanta, and the National Zoo.
