Atlanta Hawks Foundation Non-Endowed Scholarship
Purpose
To provide a scholarship to support incoming first-year University students who reside in the State of Georgia, have been involved in community service during their high school years, and have an interest in studying education.
Scholarship Criteria
The recipient(s) of the award must also meet the following criteria:
- Students must be a resident of Georgia.
- Students must be graduating high school seniors who are enrolling as full-time freshman at the University, unless funds are available from non-renewal of an award (see Program Renewal Requirements below).
- Students must have been involved in community service during their high school years.
Applicants will be evaluated and selected on the basis of their:
- High school academic records and grade point averages
- SAT I scores or ACT scores
- Quality of community service work
- Acceptance of admissions offer from the University
- Quality of outline of accomplishments and written essay
