Mark and Mary Kassis Economic Excell

Purpose

To provide a minimum of $500 in renewable scholarship support students at Georgia State University who have demonstrated talent in the field of economics.

Scholarship Criteria

The recipient of the award must meet the following criteria:

• Be in good academic standing at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies.
• Have a current 3.0 or higher GPA
• Provide two letters of recommendation – one professional and one personal
• Submit an essay of at least 300 words that thoughtfully answer the following questions:
  - What is the most impactful thing you’ve learned through your GSU experience?
  - How are you using what you’ve learned at GSU to have a positive impact on the world?

All things being equal, preference will be given to students with a demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
