Amanda G. Hyatt Fellowship

Purpose

Awarded to a student pursuing a masters degree program with a concentration in Nonprofit Studies within the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies.

Scholarship Criteria

Eligible candidates for the Fellowship must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Evidence of an undergraduate degree from an accredited, 4-year college or university.
  • Currently enrolled in their first year of study in a masters degree program with a concentration in Nonprofit Studies in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies.
  • Excellent academic performance in the candidate’s undergraduate degree-related coursework and in the first semester of the candidate’s masters degree coursework.

Other factors to be considered shall include:
a. Letter(s) ofrecommendation from academic evaluators
b. Interest in and commitment to the development of sound public policy
c. Demonstrated commitment to public or community service
d. Work experience
e. Leadership skills
f. Personal statement, 1-2 pages, on the candidate’s future goals and anticipated role in public and community service. Letters of support may also be included.
