James L. Maddex, Jr. Scholarship

Purpose

To provide scholarship awardsmade to students who are enrolled in good standing in an undergraduate or graduate academic program in the Department of Criminal Justice.

Scholarship Criteria

Recipients of the award must

• Be in good academic standing at Georgia State University and be majoring in a field included in the Criminal Justice Department.
• Earn and maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA (or the required minimum for their degree program, whichever is higher).
• Demonstrate merit in a letter of application and a statement of goals.
• Demonstrate financial need as determined by the GSU Financial Aid Office.
