Beth Tanis and John Chandler Endowed Scholarship

Purpose

To provide scholarship support to students in the College of Law.

Scholarship Criteria

The Donors prefer that the University select recipient(s) of the award(s) that meet the following criteria:

• Be pursuing a Juris Doctorate.
• Have a 3.2 GPA or higher.
• Be a member of the Latinx and Caribbean Law Student Association and/or the Black Law Students Association.

While the Donors approve using 3.2 as the GPA threshold at this time to ensure the scholarship is awardable, the Donors ideal scholarship recipient would be in the top 20% of the class, currently a GPA of 3.59 or higher.
