Mayeux Family Perseverance Award

Purpose

To support retention and graduation of second year nursing students who are persevering through obstacles and challenges to complete their nursing education and enter the field of nursing.

Scholarship Qualifications

• Must be classified as a sophomore.
• Majoring in Nursing or Pre-Nursing.
• GPA must be greater than or equal to 2.7.
• Submit essay responses:
  -Explain obstacles (financial, societal, or otherwise) your family has faced that have hindered your ability to pursue your degree.
  -Please write an essay (up to 500 words) on how a scholarship will help you achieve your educational and career goals.
