Dean's Graduate Research Grants
The purpose of the Fund is to create a micro-grant environment in the College of Arts & Sciences.
The Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, or his/her designee, will determine the number and recipient(s) of the grant(s).
Award is for Graduate Students in the College of Arts & Sciences only.

- 1. If applying for funds for conference travel as a presenting author, please state if there are other available sources of funding from your department or PI. Have you applied for other awards to assist with the cost of conference travel? If so, what is the awarded funding amount?
- 2. If applying for expenditures related to projects (books, software, research-related supplies) or to attend a workshop, seminar, skill-building program related to your dissertation/thesis/academic work, describe the resources (such as facilities, equipment, supplies, expert advice, partnerships, funding) that will be necessary to complete your scholarly project. Include any plans you have in place to access these resources.
- 3. Convey why your conference presentation, workshop/seminar, or scholarly project is important within your field and more broadly. Address how your attendance or project is expected to contribute to your academic research, the generation of new information, scholarship, knowledge, or creative work.
- 4. Please include a detailed budget and total amount requested. (Maximum amount is $1,000. Partial awards may be granted).
- 5. Please upload a current resume/CV.
- 6. Please upload documentation supporting presenter status and the abstract from conference. (Funds will be distributed pending acceptance of abstract).
